An Artist Shaped By Place

J Arthur Perry is a Ferndale fine art photography studio that creates and sells original photographic art, prints, and digital licensing, guided by award-winning photographer J Arthur Perry, first exhibited at the Anchorage Museum in 1985. Since 2000, I have focused on evocative landscapes, intimate scenes, and atmospheric moments that invite quiet reflection.

Regional Focus

My work centers on the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, where shifting weather, northern light, and wild coastlines shape every frame. Every photograph available for sale or licensing is created by me, not sourced from stock, so collectors and clients connect with a single, consistent eye, a lived-in perspective, and a genuine sense of place rooted in decades of exploring these coastlines.

A Lifelong Conversation With Light

Since my first museum placement at the Anchorage Museum in 1985, I have treated every photograph as a quiet story, a way of listening with my eyes. My camera has followed me between Pacific Northwest forests and Alaska horizons, tracing moss, mist, and distant peaks, recording small details, long views, and the weather that gently threads them together.

An Independent, Inclusive Studio Story

As a family-owned, LGBTQ+ owned studio rooted between Pacific Northwest forests and Alaska horizons, I welcome collectors, designers, and editors into a direct, thoughtful conversation with the artist. Browse the gallery, request custom work, or inquire about licensing, and I will respond personally, grounded in family values, community, and shared curiosity.
